Tell the firm the type of matter and the county. That is enough for a first reply.
How to reach the firm
Email: carson@carsonweimer.com
Phone: (239) 427-4572
Office: Collier County, Florida
Please keep a first message brief, and do not send confidential details yet.
Before the firm can accept a matter it has to run a conflicts check. Until that is done and a written engagement agreement is signed, this firm is not your lawyer, and information you send is not protected the way it would be if it were.
A first message only needs three things: the type of matter, the county, and how to reach you. The firm will tell you what it needs next.
What happens after you write
- A conflicts check. The firm confirms it can act for you without a conflict of interest. Occasionally this means declining, and you are told promptly if so.
- A short conversation. Enough to understand the matter and to tell you honestly whether the firm is the right fit, or whether you would be better served elsewhere — including handling it yourself.
- A written scope and fee. If the firm can help and you want to proceed, you receive an engagement agreement stating exactly what is included, what is not, and the cost. Nothing begins until you sign it.
What this firm does not handle
Contested dissolutions (including disputed alimony or property), contested custody and time-sharing, dissolutions involving minor children, formal probate administration, estates where the death was recent, will contests and other estate litigation, criminal matters, personal injury, and immigration. If you write about one of these, you will get a straight answer and, where possible, a direction to try instead.
